What does HostOwls read from OwnerRez?
Your reservations, guest names, properties, guest messages and notifications when a booking changes. That list comes from the OwnerRez API documentation, checked October 22, 2026. Door codes are not on it, so you add them once per property in HostOwls.
Do I have to stop using OwnerRez's own messaging or guidebook?
No. Reservations stay in OwnerRez, and HostOwls reads them. You can keep the scheduled messages you send from OwnerRez and let HostOwls answer the questions guests send in between. If two tools would send a guest the same thing, switch one off. We go through your setup with you in the demo.
Is the OwnerRez connection live?
It connects through the OwnerRez partner program, which approves each partner app before it can read an account. Book a demo and we request access for yours. Until that is approved, we don't call it live.
What happens when a reservation changes in OwnerRez?
OwnerRez tells HostOwls about the change. The guest's link updates to match, and the AI answers from the new details.
